We will be taking a break from gigging during the Autumn to put the finishing touches to our ‘Kolar’s Gold’ album and will be busy planning our ‘Kolar’s Gold’ international tour which will begin with a very special event in Cornwall…watch this space! We are very excited to be performing at a Brythonic languages concert with musicians from Wales and Brittany. Work has started behind the scenes on these very special songs and more information will be on the Lowender Peran website soon....
A few members of the band will be playing some acoustic sets of Cornish songs at the fantastic North Cornwall Book Festival. In September we head east to Norfolk for a weekend working on new music with a new band member...watch this space...As a conclusion to the weekend we will be playing a gig at Tom's local, the awsome new Norwich pub Mitre. We're delighted that we will be joined by The Shackelton Trio, a fantastic folk group making a big impression on the folk scene at the moment.
The Rowan Tree are delighted to be representing Cornwall at this years Pan Celtic festival in Letterkenny. We will be competing in the International song contest, as well as a selction of other venues and will also be joining other musicians from Cornwall for gigs throughout the week!
